Organizational History
2014
Speech Avenue was founded in 2014 by Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) Andreea Ciocan. As the sole practitioner, Andreea provided assessments and treatment to families who required speech and language support.
2015
As the needs of the community grew, Andreea expanded her team with other SLPs, Communicative Disorders Assistants (CDAs), and Speech and Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA) who had the same dedication and passion as her.
2020
Speech Avenue’s consistent high standards of clinical expertise and professionalism has led the expansion of the company. In 2020, Speech Avenue opened an office in Etobicoke and in Scarborough. This expansion became a turning point for Speech Avenue, as it allowed our practice to go beyond just communication.
2021
Andreea partnered with Carmen, and together they incorporated All Avenues. With Carmen’s support All Avenues started a behaviour department, and helped our team grow from 5 people to over 20.
2022
Introduced the start of our Group Therapy Program. We have noticed there is a need to support individuals and their families with social communication and integration, while also being mindful of health disparities of the population we serve.
2023
The organization is working on rolling out a Volunteer Program. Please see our Volunteers Page for more information.
It was recognized at the inception of Speech Avenue that communication is only one component of a person. When our organization expanded, our clinical background expanded as well. Our therapists are experienced with behaviour management and working with children with special needs. Which is why we had incorporated our name to All Avenues. As we continue to expand, we will provide interprofessional services to support the various needs of our clients and community.
